George T. Frampton, co-Founder and board chair

George T. Frampton, Jr. directs the Climate Program at The Atlantic Council’s Global Energy Center. He was Senior of Counsel at Covington & Burling LLP in the firm’s climate and clean energy practice from 2009 to 2013. He was a partner at Boies, Schiller & Flexner LP from 2001 to 2009 and Operating Advisor to Pegasus Capital; Chairman of the White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) from 1998 to 2000; Assistant Secretary of the Interior for Fish, Wildlife and Parks from 1993 to 1997; President of The Wilderness Society from 1987 to 1993; partner at Rogovin, Huge & Lenzner, Washington, DC from 1979 to 1996, Deputy Director and Chief of Staff, Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s investigation into the Three Mile Island nuclear accident; Assistant Independent Counsel, Investigation of Edwin Meese III; and Special Counsel to the State of Alaska in 1985. Mr. Frampton served as an Assistant Special Prosecutor on the Watergate Special Prosecution Force, US Department of Justice, from 1973 to 1975 where he worked on the grand jury investigation and trial of President Nixon’s top aides in the Watergate cover-up; and was a law clerk to the Hon. Harry A. Blackmun, US Supreme Court, in 1971. He graduated from Yale College with a Bachelor of Arts in Physics, the London School of Economics with a M.Sc. Economics, with Distinction, in Advanced Economic Theory, and Harvard Law School where he was Treasurer (Managing Editor) of the Harvard Law Review.

William C. Eacho, co-Founder and ceo

William C. Eacho is a successful businessman who served as United States Ambassador to Austria from 2009 to 2013. He was a Visiting Professor of the Practice in the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University from 2015-2020. He serves on the board of directors of the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) and the American-Austrian Foundation. He spent much of his business career in the foodservice distribution business as Chairman & CEO of Atlantic Food Services, and later as EVP of Alliant Foodservice, Inc., at that point a $6 billion national distributor. He served as founding Chairman of UniPro, the industry’s leading procurement and marketing cooperative with combined member sales of $20 billion. Ambassador Eacho was later CEO of Carlton Capital Group, LLC, a private investment company focused on investment in real estate and private equity. Mr. Eacho graduated from Duke University with a (self-designed) major in law and economics and graduated with Distinction from Harvard Business School.

JENNIFER VON BISMARCK

Jennifer von Bismarck is a founding partner and CEO of Galway Sustainable Credit (“GSC”) where she co-leads the Company’s efforts to originate and underwrite transactions in sustainable credit, serves on the boards of portfolio companies, raises corporate capital, and oversees day-to-day operations of the Company. Prior to forming GSC, Ms. Von Bismarck served as an investment partner in Galway II, III and IV, as well as affiliated entities, TowPath Partners and ARENA Investments (collectively the “Galway Companies”). These prior investment enterprises served to originate, underwrite and acquire niche non-correlated assets in structured credit as well as sustainability. Ms. von Bismarck served on the investment committee of these entities, helped lead the acquisition of $2 billion in financial assets, including a portfolio of commercial energy efficiency assets, and oversaw the issuance of over $1 billion in debt and private placements. One such placement won the US Asset-Backed Securities Deal of the Year Award. Prior to her work with the Galway Companies, Ms. von Bismarck served as the second team member hired to manage the personal net worth of Microsoft chairman Bill Gates. Ms. von Bismarck serves on the board of Partnership for Responsible Growth, a non-profit organization working to establish a regulated price on carbon. She holds a BA from Mount Holyoke and an MBA from Cornell University.

 

WALTER C. MINNICK, CO-FOUNDER

Walter C. Minnick is the Co-Founder and Partner, The Majority Group, a Washington, DC government relations firm. He was previously a Congressman from Idaho. Prior to serving in Congress, he was Co-Founder, Chairman of the Board, and CEO of SummerWinds Garden Centers, Inc., the 14th largest independent garden center company in the United States. He previously was President and Chief Executive Officer of Trus Joist Corporation, now a $3 billion division of the Weyerheauser Co. and formerly a Fortune 1000 public corporation. He was a Co-Founder, Director and Member of the Idaho Business Council, a group of 50 CEOs or heads of Idaho business units of significant Idaho corporations, and a past member of the American Business Conference (CEO’s of 100 high-growth, American corporations). In 1991 was selected as Idaho’s Businessman of the Year. Prior to his career in business he served 3 ½ years as a Staff Assistant to the President and as a Deputy Assistant Director in the Office of Management and Budget under President Nixon, tasked with starting the federal government’s global anti-drug program. He was previously a 1st Lieutenant in the US Army stationed in the Pentagon working as the economist on Department of Defense’s Vietnamization Task Force. Prior to his military service, he was an associate with Davies, Biggs, Stoel, Rives and Boley, Portland, OR, then the largest law firm in the Pacific Northwest. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with Honors in Economics from Whitman College and with High Distinction from Harvard Business School and Magna Cum Laude from Harvard Law School.
